Java 8 End of Public Updates Notice
Oracle has recently released some information regarding the end of public updates for Java 8 (both the JDK and the JRE). As of February 2018, Oracle plans to end public updates for Java 8 in January 2019. After this time, Oracle will no longer release new security updates with Java 8 and will begin to recommend upgrading to newer releases of Java.
